I cannot seem to input the right code to customize the after post comments in my eleven40 child theme. I want the comment section to appear like the standard WordPress fields with a place to input name, email, website url, then comment area. All that appears now is the text which says "Speak your mind" followed by the comment field and "post comment" button.

I also don't want users to have to log in to comment.

Is it possible to change it in this way? Thanks in advance.

You may need to change your Discussion settings as it looks like you have checked the field to make comment authors login first.

Thanks Brad. I have the login box unchecked now.

Nothing about the design of the comment form changed however. Is that something I need to change in the theme's code?

Now that the form is displaying, you can modify the comment form using code.

Depends on exactly what you want to do?

Looks like the basic format of the four fields I want is showing up now...must have taken a minute. Thanks again!
