    Hi all

I have just setup a demo site for a new client to showcase how Buddypress will solve his problems. The key aspect to this solution is providing a business directory, and at the core of this is Buddypress' Extended Profiles functionality.

But having set up the new fields they simply don't display on the member profile page, and after two hours of googling it appears that the only way to overcome this is by diving into the code.

Can this be right? How is it possible that a core function just doesn't work without coding knowledge? Am I missing something here? Is this is a glitch with Genesis?

    Thanks in advance,
    Greig

Neither of these issues is related to the Genesis Framework or Studio Press themes. As community volunteers answering questions you may be lucky if someone knows the answer, but you're probably better off asking you question in a Buddy Press forum.

Thanks for your reply, Victor. I did try Buddypress forums but they are a litany of unanswered questions :-/

The few clues I did gain from there suggested that problems such as these lay in the theme and the best solution is to choose a Buddypress-friendly theme. Needless to say I'm Genesis all the way so that advice wasn't useful, haha!
