I have books on Amazon and want to link to them from the sidebar. Format would be a thumbnail photo of the cover, brief description, and link (two links, really ... one text and one to make the photo clickable). Questions: Which widget to use and how to code it? Your help is very much appreciated.

You can use a text widget. Just click the "Add Media" button to add the photo of the cover, then turn it into a link just like you would when writing a post. Then you can write your description underneath.

Thank you, Christina. I'll give it a whirl.

For anyone else interested, I ended up using an image widget. Perfect. Just one question remaining - How to center heading and alt text.
