I'm in the midst of changing up my whole website. i'm using the beautiful pro theme but i'm trying to change up the layout.
I can't for the life of me get my 'before header' to sit inline and in the centre of the page. The same goes for the main navigation area underneath my header logo. I managed to get it below the logo but now I can't centre it. I also need to centre my logo. I realise the reason I can't do any of this is probably because i've either put too many different variations of code in and haven't taken something out, but i'm learning and would appreciate any assistance! My website is aprylshowers.co.uk - i've removed the 'coming soon' page so you should be able to see the mess that i've created.
You have a lot going on here that needs to be corrected. I don't know how you are adding the menu to before-header area, but it is missing all of the genesis navigation classes. If you add the genesis nav classes to your menu or add your custom menu classs to the genesis nav css in style.css, you will get the appearance you want.
As for the secondary nav area, if you want it centered under the logo, you need to remove it from the header right widget. The header right widget area is designed to sit adjacent to the title area with the same parent element. The reason it sits below right now is because the widths of the title area and header right exceed the available space in their parent element. The parent element (site-header) has a width of 1140px with a padding of 20px all the way around. This leaves an effective width of 1100px. The title-area is 320px and the header-right is 800px. This is 1120px. This width cannot exceed 1100px.
Thank you Victor, I have taken the secondary nav area out of the widget and it is displaying under neath with the logo centred. I haven't gotten round to taking on board the rest of your comments but I appreciate your time!!
