    Can you help me adjust these three images so they play together properly on a mobile or very narrow screen? The top banner (looks like a strip of blue paint) static banner pic, and bottom banner (another strip of blue paint) look fine on a computer screen, but on a mobile screen a big gap starts to drop between the banner pic and the two paint swashes.

    Is there some css that can keep the 3 images attached to each other, or at least not likely to create those white gaps?

    You need to adjust the margins being applied for each responsive break and then the height of the image itself changes so you'd need to add new rules for that as well.
