Is it at all possible to utilize the backstretch script for the featured images used on the genesis featured page plugin? I'm attempting to add the same greyish/dark overlay like on the top widget on the featured images below the fold.

Additionally, if this is possible what would be the best method to apply a button like on the top widget to appear overtop of the image when hovered by mouse?

    hi there

no that would not be possible, was it just a fading hover effect your after? so like it has a semi-dark overlay and fades light on hover sort of thing.

for the button on the image, you could move the button with css, but then you will loose the button where it is now.
