I have a site that is currently showing the featured image of portfolio content in the slider. I now have a page whose featured image I also want to also put into the slider.

Is there any way to get the Genesis Responsive Slider to do this?

If there is some way to modify it so it pulls from one content type but also lets you pull in another type, that would be awesome.

My simple mind thinks that creating a portfolio entry with the same featured image but that redirects to the destination page would be a quick way to do this using Genesis Responsive Slider.

There's a similar slider with some added features you might look into

    Home

The free ad-on for Featured Content boasts that you can choose one or more post types or taxonomies. I haven't tried that function but I have implemented the slider which seems to work very well. See the adon's description here

Thanks, that's an interesting slider. But with all those features I am wondering how bloated it is.

Good call on the redirect. But I am thinking the new portfolio entry would show in the loop for the portfolio content type, no?

Sorry, can't help. Maybe there's a PHP guru reading.
