Hi, I'm using the LifeStyle Pro theme and used WP settings to have the front page show posts but only want an intro to the post, not the entire post. Do I need to manually copy/paste with a link to each post or is there something simpler? I have installed the Genesis Simple Hooks but don't see a way to use that to shorten the entries. This blog uses posts rather than pages for long articles so just a few posts means endless scrolling and is not at all what I was trying to do.

I did a search here and found an old (2015) similar question but I'm not sure if creating a widget for the sidebar and editing the functions file is going to do what I need either. I don't want a list of posts like a menu, but a paragraph or so with an image. ideas? Is the Genesis Featured Posts plugin still around? I couldn't find it.

Thank you for any suggestions because I'm setting up another site with this theme and it was made the same way with short bits from recent posts. I'll need this fix there too.

Go to the Genesis Settings, then Content Archives. You can set it up for Excerpts or Content Limit.

Thank you Anita! I certainly appreciate your fast and helpful response! That worked just fine for me once I set up a Featured image and selected a proper amount of text.

The page loads so much faster without 5 pages of images loading. This is not one of my sites, it belongs to my other half or those would have been pages. I just do the css and proofreading for his sites.

(OT - Now I need to search and find out what on earth happened to my editing window. I am so lost in there, the html window is gone?)
