I really like the Smart Passive Income child theme. But it seems to have a lot of automatic coding that messes things up for me. Porter helped me suss the stuff it was doing with duplicating post images (yay, Porter!).

Today I tried to add an Aweber form to the Sidebar and form's text was super spaced out - like double spaced. And the header of the form is doubled on itself.

When I asked Aweber for an assist, they said the theme was interfering with the form. They said:

"For example, both the site and the form may have a section called "header". Your site says to put X amount of spacing in the header, while the form says to put Y amount. So when the browser renders the website and form, it gets confused as to what it's supposed to do."

I've gone ahead and replaced the original script (in a text widget) for the form in case someone here can see what might be causing the text in the Aweber form to be so spaced out. Here is a page with the form in - http://www.becomingamagician.com/category/types-of-magic/

Putting an Aweber form on a Genesis site is a pretty common thing. So I'm hoping the solution for this is also?

    Thanks for any ideas!

Still working on it, actually. Yes, I'm using the Genesis Club Pro Plugin and their shortcode for forms. What I may end up doing is just putting a pic and some text with a link ot my landing page and just go from there.

Aweber forms still don't work very well with this theme though, for the reasons cited above.

    Thanks for the reply!

Most Genesis child themes include styling for the Genesis Enews Extended plugin and recommend to use that instead of the aweber embed code.

You would have to inspect the CSS with your browser developer tools and find the CSS classes you need to change.
