Amped Child Theme.

I would like to be able to put a header the length of the top nav area, above the nav bar, yet be transparent (in the background) of the words on the top right and search window.

Can someone advise how to do that.

Try this Roy http://wpsites.net/wordpress-themes/add-new-header-background-image-to-the-amped-child-theme-by-studiopress/

You will need to make an image with a trasparent background using a tool like Paint.net for Windows or GIMP for Mac.
