Loving this theme!
I'm wondering if there is a way to pull just certain posts to the homepage and not all post entries.
Can this be done by pulling a category or tag?
I would like to just keep certain featured posts on the home page and be able to blog without crowding up the home page.

Have you tried making specific posts sticky? Ideally they should appear first.

Sticky posts don't really do the trick as all of the posts still pile up below
adding content through a plug-in does not bring in the great styling that makes this theme what it is
Actually, I think I found an easy solution that I will post in case anybody is looking to resolve the same issue.
By using the blog page template on a page you get the same set up s the homepage. The settings allow you to decide which category to pull so if I set the new page as my homepage it should fix the issue.
