There's no element in a Genesis theme called the sub-footer, so what content are you referencing? Are you talking about the copyright?

Easy peasey. Download the Genesis Easy Edits plugin. It allows you to do that.

Go to Genesis, Theme Settings, Footer. That was added in 3.0.

Neither of those methods modifies the copyright date.

The year is derived in code. If you want to add a starting year, add first="2019" to the copyright shortcode.

    This is the footer code.

    [footer_copyright before="Copyright "] · [footer_childtheme_link before="" after=" on"] [footer_genesis_link url="https://www.studiopress.com/" before=""] · [footer_wordpress_link] · [footer_loginout]

Nothing I do to this code does anything to the footer.

    Can you customize your theme?
Have you tried this in the Customizing Theme Options?

    Footer Tagline
Change the text that appears in the footer tagline at the bottom of your site.

I changed mine to Copyright Vida Evelyn.

@johnjames and @vidaevelyn this code [footer_copyright before="Copyright "] the "before means" to add anything you want before the copyright icon. So adding the word Copyright, will output the word Copyright.

If you would like to add the first year you were in business to accompany the current year, which you should especially if your website has been up for a long time, you would write it out like this - Copyright [footer_copyright first="2012"]. The word Copyright would not be included in the shortcode.

This is what it looks like on my site.

    sample copyright

It looks like something else on my theme needs to be changed to allow me to make changes to the footer.

Nothing I do to the shortcodes is reflected on my site footer.

I tried the "Genesis - Simple Edits" plugin as well as the built-in theme settings.

    Thanks, Anita, for the clarification.

@johnjames are you using the Footer tab under the Genesis Settings? They added that a few versions back. Don't use Simple Edits. Click Genesis > then Footer. If you don't see the Footer tab, then you have another Footer plugin installed that's replacing the new one.

I deactivated all plugins and nothing.

I am curious though how this shortcode

    [footer_copyright before="Copyright "] · [footer_childtheme_link before="" after=" on"] [footer_genesis_link url="https://www.studiopress.com/" before=""] · [footer_wordpress_link] · [footer_loginout]

is displaying © Copyright 2015 Mantle Media & Consulting, Inc | All Rights Reserved

Where is the studio press link? where is the login/out button?
The "Mantle Media & Consulting, Inc" part is also a link to the home page, where is that in the short code?

@johnjames looks like Cloudflare is active on the site. A lot of times you won't see any changes when Cloudflare is active. Turn that off. Then try to make the changes.

Minha pergunta é mais simples. Lá tem escrito: Genesis Framework remetendo para a url do Genesis. Eu posso trocar a url do Genesis pela do meu site, mas não consigo trocar a expressão "Genesis Framework".
