I've run into an issue where my front page background images no longer show. All I have right now are the linear gradients on a white background.
What I did was open up chrome dev tools and look for where in the mark up the css background image was applied. I couldn't find it anywhere, just the linear gradient declarations. This led me to wonder how exactly these images are inserted into the theme in the first place as i cannot figure out where in either the functions.php file or front-page.php file where the class is handled, or the background image url dynamically handled. I went into it assuming it was some sort of function that applied in the form of an inline style.
So whatever my issue may be for the images not showing up, does anyone know where exactly the code is that inserts these images in the first place?
I would also like to note this is my first development project using the genesis framework.
I am currently in the local development stage and using MAMP as my server and Mixture for my preprocessing. I realize that my issue could be related to Mixture and how i have it set up, however I still want to know how exactly the theme inserts the background images.

public function tab_default_background() { $this->print_tab_image( $this->setting->default ); } } global $wp_customize; $images = apply_filters( 'altitude_images', array( '1', '3', '5', '7' ) ); $wp_customize->add_section( 'altitude-settings', array( 'description' => __( 'Use the included default images or personalize your site by uploading your own images.<br /><br />The default images are 1600 pixels wide and 1050 pixels tall.', 'altitude' ), 'title' => __( 'Front Page Background Images', 'altitude' ), 'priority' => 35, ) ); foreach( $images as $image ){ $wp_customize->add_setting( $image .'-altitude-image', array( 'default' => sprintf( '%s/images/bg-%s.jpg', get_stylesheet_directory_uri(), $image ), 'type' => 'option', ) ); $wp_customize->add_control( new Child_Altitude_Image_Control( $wp_customize, $image .'-altitude-image', array( 'label' => sprintf( __( 'Featured Section %s Image:', 'altitude' ), $image ), 'section' => 'altitude-settings', 'settings' => $image .'-altitude-image', 'priority' => $image+1, ) ) ); }

Appreciate any assistance, thank you!

The images are in the images folder and should display once the widget areas are populated ( active ).

Even the stock photos originally in place weren't showing up. I'm wondering if there's a plugin or a line of code somewhere that needs to be messed with as I don't have this problem on other sites (with the same theme).
Last night I even tested plugging in the Parallax theme to see what happened and the same issue (gradient backgrounds, no visual of even the original stock photos that typically load up w/ the theme right away).

Thanks for the time, I hope this helps someone else in the same situation and didn't just waste forum space 🙂
