altitude pro: Footer widget 1 – color

Hi the colour for the footer widget 1 seems to be defined by the color settings of colours for buttons and links.
How can I apply a specific background colour setting for the footer widget 1?

Have you tried this in style.css file.

.footer-widgets-1 {
background: #ddd !important;
}

Thanks - well almost ! the core of the footer widget -1 is in the colour I wanted, but there is still a big fat frame around it in the red colour - set for links and buttons?
