Agency Pro – Making Primary Sidebar Widget Transparent

Hi there,

I am using the Agency Pro theme.

How do I make the Primary Sidebar Widget boxes transparent? I'd like to be able to adjust the opacity. I believe that I need to edit some parts of the Stylesheet coding.

I want to do this for:
Genesis - eNews Extended
Recent Posts
Genesis - User Profile

Which lines, and what is the code?

At line1587 of your style.css you have:

.sidebar .enews-widget {
    background-color: #333;
}

If you change the background color to:

background-color: rgba(51, 51, 51, 0.8);
this will give you an 80% opacity of the color #333. Change the 0.8 to change the opacity.

(You can find a Hex to rgba converter at http://hex2rgba.devoth.com/)

For the Recent Posts Widget add this to your style.css

.widget.widget_recent_entries {
    background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.8);
}

For the User Profile Widget add this to the style.css

.widget.user-profile {
background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.8);
}

Change the colors and opacity to suit yourself

One other follow-up question: For the Recent Posts Widget and the Profile Widget, how do make the title of each to have white font?

Also... for the profile widget, how do I change the font color of the content in the box... right now, with the transparency level, the font color is hard to read... I'd like to go with white.

I apologize for jumping on your thread, but something that has always annoyed me about the Agency Pro theme is the color flash when you change pages. How would one turn off that effect?
