    Hi SP Community,

I need your wisdom on AdSense.

Although I've had AdSense units in my header and sidebar, I never really experimented with adding units to the actual post area, wrapping it with text for better performance. What is the best way to accomplish this using the Metro Theme?

I know I can just paste the Adsense code directly into the post area of WordPress, but maybe there's a better way. Also, what if I don't want to add units to all my posts. What if I want to only, say, add to a third of them? Do I have that freedom without manually having to add the code to each post? What about Ad positioning? Like, for instance, top of page vs. bottom of page. Is there an efficient plugin for this, or do I have to edit functions.php?

Overall, I am looking for both common sense advise and a technical guide. What do you think works best, looks best? And what's the right way to do it?

    Thank you in advance!

There are functions which enable you to execute code using conditional tags.

You can also add the code after any number of paragraphs using the same code with conditional tags

And you could also create a short code to add manually rather than adding the code manually within the content area.

    Hi braddalton,

Would you happen to know any guides or walkthroughs for this? Something you could recommend and that works well with Genesis/Metro Theme?

I'm not code literate, so everything you mentioned opens a chest full of questions, haha. I do appreciate your thoughts and suggestions. Keywords like "conditional tags" will help me in my search, for sure.

In your case i would search for tutorials which provide these solutions as i know there have been many published by members of the Genesis community.

Hi braddalton, yes, I would think so. But instead of a "random" one, I was hoping the community here would have a favorite guide. But yeah, I've already found some. Thanks.
