    I want Adsense Ad to show up after the first post only on homepage & category. But it's showing up after every post when I use post count "0". I even tried changing the count to 1 and 2, but nothing appeared at all.

    This is the code I put at the very bottom in functions.php. What am I doing wrong?

    add_action('genesis_after_entry', 'ad_after_first_post');
    function ad_after_first_post() {
    global $post_counter;
    if (!is_singular() && $post_counter == 0) { ?>
    ADSENSE AD CODE HERE
    <?php }}

    I tried a different method using "Genesis Simple Hooks", but the same results happened. Ads appear after every single post instead of just after the first one.

    I put this code in genesis_after_entry.

    <?php
    global $loop_counter;
    if (!is_singular() && $loop_counter == 0) { ?>
    ADSENSE CODE HERE
    <?php
    }
    ?>

    What am I doing wrong?
