Okay, so when you visit my blog I've got excerpts of each post (10 of them on the home page) with 600 characters showing per post along with the post's title and small photo. At the bottom of the "featured top full width" bar (10 posts from "the latest ramblings") I checked the box "show category archive link" and added the text "see more ramblings" in the "Genesis- featured post" widget...BUT...the link doesn't show. So that means when my readers scroll down to the bottom of the 10 post excerpts, there's no link to take them to the next 10 posts and so forth.

The same problem occurs with the "featured top left" and "featured top right" columns at the bottom of my page below my latest 10 post excerpts. For some reason, the links saying "see more recipes" and "see more DIY ideas" aren't showing but the links for the bottom left and right columns saying "see more art lessons" and "see more reviews" DO show! What the heck? I've checked all boxes to display this link for all of these columns and I don't know how else to activate them.

Check out what I'm talking about at http://www.momistabeginnings.com

Please help! I'm willing to take a chance with changing code around...although I'm no pro. I NEED to figure this out.

    THANKS!

    Misty

Misty - try the Genesis Featured Widget Amplified - I just recommended it on another thread with a similar issue (different theme)

    Thanks, Susan!

I think you've helped me in the past and I really appreciate it. So....I tried the amplified widget and I was successful with figuring out how to get the category archive links for all 4 of my bottom columns (recipes, diy, art lessons, reviews). Thank you for that. Finally!

HOWEVER, the one that's most important to me and that's frustrating the heck out of me is getting the archive link to appear at the bottom of the "featured top full width" bar which is my "latest ramblings..." section. No matter what I do (reduce the # of characters that appears in the content limit, rearrange pic placement, adjust pic size, limit # of posts showing from 10 to 1 to 5) the link that I've checked ("see more ramblings"...) refuses to appear! I could be way off, but I'm thinking maybe I accidentally changed the size of the "featured top full width" bar when I was messing around in CSS one day way back when? If so, I have no idea where or what I did and how to change it back to the default size or settings.

Any further assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Misty - I just uploaded a fresh copy of Adorable on my test site - excuse how messy the site looks (it's a test site...), but I set it up with the Featured Widget Amplified in the Featured Top Full Width widget, as well as the Featured Top Right and Featured Top Left.

In the Featured Top Full width, if you scroll down, you can see the pagination links (pages 1,2 etc.) - here is a screenshot of how I set up that widget.

    Susan...it worked!

I just exploded with my happy dance! Thank you sooooo much! I can't believe what a simple and quick fix that was, and that I couldn't figure that out, and that I spent so much time trying to get it right! Finally, I'm happy with my site. You've completely made my day. Thanks, again.

Glad to hear it, Misty! I'm going to close this thread as resolved, but if you have any more questions, just go ahead and start a new thread.
