I have the Wellness Pro theme and was trying to adjust my sidebar width to allow for square ads, which are too wide. After I adjusted the width, the sidebar did not extend, however the padding between the content block and the sidebar was eliminated. NOT my goal.
Can someone please help me fix this?
Code:
@media only screen and (max-width: 1340px) {.site-inner,
.wrap {
max-width: 1280px;
}.content,
.site-header .widget-area {
width: 880px;
}.sidebar-primary {
width: 360px;
}.flexible-widgets .wrap {
max-width: 1220px;
}}
@media only screen and (max-width: 1200px) {.site-inner,
.wrap {
max-width: 960px;
}.content,
.site-header .widget-area {
width: 620px;
}.flexible-widgets .wrap {
max-width: 1040px;
}}
/* Column Widths and Positions
--------------------------------------------- *//* Content */
.content {
float: right;
width: 880px;
}.content-sidebar .content {
float: left;
}.full-width-content .content {
width: 100%;
}/* Primary Sidebar */
.sidebar-primary {
float: right;
width: 360px;
}.sidebar-content .sidebar-primary {
float: left;}
Am I looking in the wrong place?

Have you requested your free website audit yet?March 16, 2018 at 8:03 am #217971AlexisMemberWell, I restored my website so it resolved, but I am still unable to adjust the sidebar width. Alternatively I could adjust the padding so that those ads fit in the widget, but that code is not working either. I’m stumped!
March 16, 2018 at 2:29 pm #217992Victor FontModeratorThe sidebar width is around line 675 in style.css. You're looking in the media queries, which are too far down in the file. You've only got 1280 pixels in the display area. The content is set to 800 and the sidebar is set to 360. 880+360 = 1240. This only leaves you 40px to play with, which is the space between the content and sidebar. If you want to keep the space the same, then whatever amount you widen the sidebar by, you have to reduce the content area by an equal amount. The content width is at line 660.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?March 16, 2018 at 2:50 pm #217995AlexisMemberThanks! I actually tried that first, increasing the sidebar by 40px and reducing the content by the same amount (sorry for not clarifying). There is no difference. I redid it and still nothing. I put a square ad in so you can see how it extends beyond the widget. Is there another workaround?
/* Site Containers
--------------------------------------------- */.site-inner,
.wrap {
margin: 0 auto;
max-width: 1280px;
}.site-inner {
clear: both;
padding-top: 40px;
word-wrap: break-word;
}.full-width-content .site-inner {
max-width: 880px;
}/* Column Widths and Positions
--------------------------------------------- *//* Content */
.content {
float: right;
width: 840px;
}.content-sidebar .content {
float: left;
}.full-width-content .content {
width: 100%;
}/* Primary Sidebar */
.sidebar-primary {
float: right;
width: 400px;
}.sidebar-content .sidebar-primary {
float: left;
}March 16, 2018 at 6:18 pm #217998Victor FontModeratorIt's sized perfectly. You are not seeing it because your browser is caching the style sheet. You have to clear the cache.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?March 16, 2018 at 7:32 pm #218000AlexisMemberThanks - I cleared the cache and it still isn't showing up correctly. I also tried viewing it in another browser - same thing. See here:
March 17, 2018 at 6:03 am #218009Victor FontModeratorI can't help you any further. The content area and sidebar are sized correctly. I can't see the ad anyway. I have tracking turned off in my browsers. Google scripts don't load when tracking is turned off. Ads and analytics don't function because the browsers block the jQuery from loading. I can see the placeholder, which is positioned correctly.
