I tried to add a slider to the homepage. I dragged the slider plugin into the widget "home top" but my content does not appear under the slider. The page is just blank. When I don't use a slider I can see my content. How do I get the slider to appear above my content?

When you populate the home page widgets, its removes the loop of posts.

You can use this tutorial to add a loop before or after home page widgets.

Or you can hook in a slider on your home page before your loop

Thanks for the reply. I tried to follow the instructions in the tutorials but got lost due to my lack of technical skills.
I have a widget for "home middle" - is there a way to insert the text from the homepage into the widget without pasting the text there (which makes it difficult to edit)? I.e. Is it possible to insert the content of a page in a widget?
