    Hi,

I'd like to add a slider to my home page in the Going Green Pro theme to replace the Featured Image section. If you view the demo (http://my.studiopress.com/themes/goinggreen/#demo-full) and visit on one of the posts, you can see it has a featured image.

What I would like to do is replace that featured image, with the Genesis Slider plugin, but only replace it on one page. I'm not 100% on how to do this but appreciate I'll need to edit the functions.php file, but I'm not quite sure what code would be to complete this - I'm no PHP coder so not sure how I'd go about this?

    I found the below:

Adding Slider to Going Green Pro

But this person never got an answer (I've chased up to see if they did).

Would appreciate any help from people...

    Cheers!

Thats the featured image for the most recent post. Do you want to add a slider before it or replace it with a slider?

    Hi Brad,

So if you click the recent post, the post opens with the featured image inserted at the top, with the content underneath.

I would like to replace the featured image with a slider on one page - but leave the static featured image on all the rest?

Now as it's the home page, I could add the slider before, and remove the featured image completely. I tried that with a widget area tutorial and didn't get very far as it didn't insert the slider in the right place?

    Cheers

I spent some time working on this solution.

It's not a straight forward solution as you need custom code to remove the featured image from the most recent post only and hook in the slider.

Thanks Brad. Will take a look over the next week or so. Would it be OK if I sent a follow up message if I have any questions?

    Cheers!
