    Hello all:

I've been trying to find a way to have the Genesis Featured Posts widget display such that each post that it pulls is displayed with a static number alongside it (i.e. having each pulled post be displayed within an li, and all lis within an ol). I'm assuming that I will need to either write my own version of the widget (or somehow extend the featured posts widget), but I'm not sure where to begin.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It might be best to write your own version of the genesis featured posts widget. Then you can modify the code safely.
