Hi, it's really been a while since I've been here. Let me first say hello to everyone and wish you all well.
The project I am trying to do requires for me to duplicate an element from the Generate Pro theme to the Lifestyle Pro theme. The details are I want to duplicate the optin widget on the Generate Pro theme to an above content widget on the Genesis Lifestyle Pro theme. First of all can it be done? Second how would I go about getting that optin box on my theme. I know the Generate Pro theme uses the "Genesis Extended News" plugin. My challenge is getting the box to look and do the same thing as the one on Generate Pro dose. it's mobile friendly and it adopts the website header color on the title bar.
Is there a way for me to get the e-news extended code used to create the widget on the Generate Pro theme and add it to my Genesis Lifestyle Pro Theme? How can I do it? Can you help?
To get started, you'll need to add all the code used in Generate Pro for the optin box to Lifestyle Pro.
This will require a bit of work and time spent at your end.
Then you can work out what code needs tweaking.
Thank you Brad. Can anyone help me figure out how to start the process of selecting the code I will need to duplicate the Generate Pro Optin box widget into Lifestyle Pro. Where will I put the css coding for the box? How and where will I add the functions php code? I just need some idea how to go about finding what I'm looking for and the putting it in the right place. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Generally, PHP code from Generate Pro themes functions.php file will go in your Lifestyle Pro themes functions file.
CSS from the Generate Pro themes style.css file will need to be pasted at the end of the Lifestyle Pro themes style sheet.
