Is there a way to add code like this <link rel="author" href="https://plus.google.com/YOURIDHERE" /> to the head of specific pages?

You could add something like this to your functions file using the conditionals from the Codex.

This is actually a new feature of Genesis 1.9. Just fill out the user Google Plus information and it will do it for you.

I was adding code for Google to verify our site for our Google+ page.  I ended up putting it under the "Header and Footer Scripts" section of the Theme Setting page.
