I wonder if you could help me solve this problem I'm having. I just discovered Brian's wonderful tutorial for adding a "made with love" with a heart to my footer, but for some reason, my footer ends up in two lines instead of one.

Here is the code I've entered into the Genesis Simple Edits app for the footer line...

    <p>[footer_copyright] · <p class="love"> Ease the Tension · Made with <i class="icon ion-heart"></i> in Bentleigh East · VIC Australia</p>

I tried taking out the <p> but then the text formatting looks odd.

You shouldn't use the second paragraph tag. It is not closed and is creating bad HTML. You should use this instead:

    <p>[footer_copyright] · <span class="love">Ease the Tension · Made with <i class="icon ion-heart"></i> in Bentleigh East · VIC Australia</span></p>
