I would like to use the aside post format to write some very short microblog posts and display them on the sidebar of my blog, which is using the Focus theme.

I do NOT want the asides to appear in the main body of my posts.

    How can I do this?

Or is there a better way to display short posts on my sidebar?

    Thank you!

    Hi Michelle

I think an easier way would be to create a category for "Shorts" or something similar. Then you can output posts in this category in your sidebar but also remove that category from your main post listing.

I hope that helps. Let me know if you need any further pointers on how to achieve this.

    Hey there Chris,
I was just thinking along the same lines as Michelle (more or less) and I think your solution is just great! No messing with code or more plugins! I will give that a try. Thanks for a brill suggestion 🙂
    cheers,
