Adding a widget area to navbar in News Pro Theme

I'm using this tutorial: http://sridharkatakam.com/how-to-add-a-widgeted-area-in-navigation-bar-in-genesis/ I have used it before just not with News Pro. I've got it installed here: http://testsite.howtorockyourblog.com/ I just can't seem to get the social media icons to line up with the nav. I have firebugged the heck out of it and can't figure out what I'm missing:/

Any thoughts?

Hi Brad, that would work if the widgetized area was in the header. It's actually in the navbar. It should look like this: http://testsite.howtorockyourblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/touratlanta.png I used the same tutorial on this site and it worked perfectly. I can't for the life of me figure out why I can't get it to line up on this site: http://testsite.howtorockyourblog.com/

Any thoughts?

If you're running a HTML 5 child theme, try changing the CSS to this code:

.nav-primary .widget {
	float: right;
	margin-right: 2px;
}

.socialmedia-buttons {
	margin-top: 6px;
	margin-right: 3px;
}

.menu-primary .socialmedia-buttons a {
	float: left;
	border-right: none;
	padding: 0;
}

.menu-primary .socialmedia-buttons img {
	margin-bottom: 0;
}

When i looked at the CSS code i saw the # which is used for i.d selectors and knew that HTML uses . for class selectors which is how i figured it out. Glad you got it working.

Isn't it just the way, you jump through the hoops, and then the client wants it back in the sidebar!
