    Hi Guys

Can anyone help me by pointing me in the direction of a tutorial, or tell me the procedure of how I can add a 'Before Footer' widget area to the Atmosphere Pro theme.
What I am trying to achieve is to embed a wide but short image at the bottom of every page just before the Footer. If I could add a 'Before Footer' widget area, I would be able to add and change the image easily using text code calling for the image reference.

I have tried but I just do not understand the 'Hooks' tutorials but in previous versions of WordPress about 5 years or so ago, I was able with the assistance of the Studiopress community to add new widget areas.
There was a tutorial on the old Studiopress forum site, but I cannot find it on here now. I know it had to do with adding coding to the functions.php but that's all I can recall.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as always.
    Kindest regards

    Matt

Hooks are the start of learning PHP so now you can add conditional tags if you only want to execute code on specific pages.
