I am using the Genesis theme. for the home page I want to add widgets to the content area so I have a box to put a featured post, a list of recent post titles, and widgets like that. Is there a way to do that?

Where about's exactly in the content area on the home page?

I did find a tutorial that helped add widgets to home page underneath the content. IT seems to be working as you can see here. If you know a better way to do this, could you let me know?
