    I'm trying to add a different full-width slider to Education Pro home page -- the Home-Featured widget area. Genesis Responsive Slider works great, but it requires a post with a default image but I want to just have images in the slider without a post.

    I've found a couple of articles on how to use soliloquy slider, but they were for different themes and I can't make their code work with Education Pro.

    Any help / suggestions appreciated.

    Code I've tried in functions.php:

    add_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'front_page_slider', 9 );
    -- and --
    add_action( 'home-featured', 'front_page_slider', 9 );
    function front_page_slider() {
    if ( is_front_page() && function_exists( 'soliloquy_slider' ) )
    	soliloquy_slider( 'slider-slug' );
    }

    You could add the shortcode for the slider in a text or HTML widget.
