Thank you for offering great support! I’m looking forward to complete the design of my website with your beautiful theme.
I’ve managed to build the website just the way I want it. There is just one tiny thing that I don’t know how to do. If you can help me with that, than my site will be finished!
How do I get the search option next to my navigation menu in the header, like on this site: http://amylynnandrews.com/ Look at what happens when you click on the little magnifying glass! Just beautiful!

This will be really helpful. The explanation on that page is very clear. The only problem is, that I don't know how to edit the html. Or better mentioned, how to access the file which contains the html. Do you know how I can edit html?

The website I posted has now undergone a makeover and the link/url is not working. I was able to find a cached version and sent an email to another forum member to see if he might want to take a stab at this. If so, we'll post back.

I tried to follow the exact steps as follows:
I copied the html for the Search box in to the header.php file in the Epik theme (which I copied from the header.php in the Genesis theme).
I copied the CSS into my styles.css file.
I copied the jQuery into the footer.php file in the Epik theme (which I also copied from the footer.php in the Genesis theme)
These instructions I got from Jack who wrote this post.
But after trying that, this is the error I received:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/laylamaj/public_html/wp-content/themes/epik/header.php on line 40
Do you know what I'm doing wrong? I selected the code exactly as it is in his post and copied it into my file.
I hope you can help me finally get this thing working. Also in order for this to work what should I do with the Search widget and the widget area for my header? Maybe I'm not getting this to work because I'm using a child theme which offers the option to add widgets in my header.

Without having the URL to your website, it will be pretty hard to continue assisting you. What theme are you using for your site? You reference that you copied some information from Epik. Is that the theme you are using?

Basically I'm looking for the same way to put my search box inside my header next to my navigation menu.

Ohhh okay. Now see, Wes (the developer of the theme) has his own forum. I don't have access to his themes or code which makes it difficult for me to assist you. He's good about responding to inquiries. Post this over on his forum - http://appfinite.com/forum/. He should be able to tell you where you need to place the code so it works with his theme.
