Hi - I'd like to add a static image on the post archive/category pages - I wish to place it above the post archives and under the header.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to go about it?

    Thanks,

The easiest way is to install a plugin. Rich Text Tags, Categories, and Taxonomies http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/rich-text-tags/

There's other ways to do this as well depending on exactly what you need.

    Thanks for your reply!

This looks like it is what I need, however it instructs me to add some php code to my archive template.  Would I do this via a hook instead?

    Thanks!

Actually, I think your second option is going to work better.  Thanks!
