Why a "google" search box? Can you not use the default wordpress search box?

    Hello Anita,

I want to add a search box for the convenience of the users. Google search box does exactly that plus a bit of revenue. All I want to do is add a search box in the menu. Google or WP search box.

Can you please help me with this.

@kamalhasa the only tutorial I know of to do that would be this one by Sridhar.

Disclaimer: His site is subscription-based but this is free contant.

    Hi @Anitac,

I had Googled some time back and didn't go ahead with it. It seems a little complicated (most of his tutorials are).

What I have done instead is created a page inserted in the search code and added the link to the page as Search on the menu. 😀

@kamalhasa It looks complicated but you should try it. A lot of devs who write tutorials explain in great detail what you need to do. I don't think it would be any different for anyone else to provide that to you. It would be just as detailed.
