    Hi folks,

I'd like to use featured images in my posts, but I'm using the Beautiful Pro theme, which doesn't support them. I received a link from Studiopress support with code that should supposedly enable featured images, but I'm not sure where to put it. I tried adding it to the end of style.css, but nothing changed. Any suggestions?

Here's the link SP support gave me: http://wpsites.net/web-design/display-featured-image-before-or-after-entry-title-on-single-posts-pages/

    Thanks,
    Alison

An update to my post above: I added code to the Custom CSS, and now the featured images appears when viewing my blog on the home page of my site. However, it disappears when viewing the individual post. Suggestions?

The PHP code should go at the end of your child themes functions.php file.

The CSS should go near the end of your child themes style.css file before your Media Queries.

Did you want them before or after your single post titles?

Thanks! I added the code to my functions.php and it worked! Only problem is I'd like my post content to wrap around the featured image instead of starting below it. Any suggestions for how to accomplish that?

There are at least 2 ways you can do that both of which are included in the article linked to from above.

We have added this code to the BeautifulPro theme because we want featured images to show on the home page; however, although it adds the featured image to the single post page it is NOT adding it to the home page which is really where we want it to go.

    Can you help?

    This is your original question:

I’d like to use featured images in my posts

And the link provides the methods to add the images in single posts.

You can use the Genesis > Theme Settings to display featured images on your archives including home page.

Thanks. I looked there and totally missed it. Wasn't thinking that the archive settings affected the home page. Much appreciated.
