    I am trying to add a phonenumber (including .png) in the nav area in interior pro.
    No need for the customer to change this, although it would be nice if this can be done.

    I want to give it a position absolute, but I would not mind if this can be added as a menu item (maybe as a background img)

    I tried both options and it doesn't work. adding a div tutorial can't be found on the web and adding background to menu item somehow doesn't work because of the fact that wordpress needs text in the menu item otherwise the menu item isn't showed.

    thanks in advance for your help!

    Martin

    *edit* I now used the :before on nav-primary to add the png but I would like do add it as a (normal)DOM object like I described in my question....

    You can use code like this to add text or a image to any nav menu.

    ok, thanks! Worked it out, used this line to add li item in menu and with css it only shows on mobile and big screens menu:

    $menu .= '<li class="NORMAL CLASSES"><a href="URL"><img src="IMG" /></a></li>';

    is this good practise?

    Using an a standard URL for a telephone is not a good idea these days. With so much traffic coming from mobile devices these days, it's better to enable phone numbers for dialing from the mobile devices. Instead of href="URL", I would use href="tel:phone-number-digits".
