    In the parallax theme they add widgets to the homepage like so:

    genesis_widget_area( 'home-section-1', array(
    'before' => '<div class="home-odd home-section-1 widget-area"><div class="wrap">',
    'after' => '</div></div>',
    ) );

    I am trying to use a scrolling script like in agency pro so I think I need the sections to have div ids. I added div id's like so:

    genesis_widget_area( 'home-section-1', array(
    'before' => '<div id="home-1><div class="home-odd home-section-1 widget-area"><div class="wrap">',
    'after' => '</div></div></div>',
    ) );

    This does work as I can assign the url in the menu to #home-1. I'm just wondering if this is the right way to do it

    That should work. You have some syntax errors in your code, and you could combine the declaration of the ID with the class. I used the same technique to modify Centric Pro so that it has scrolling links for each of the home-widgets sections.

    Tutorial is here: http://keypresswp.com/all-home-widgets-scrolling-centric-pro/

    Thanks Tom.

    I see I forgot the quotes after the 1. I see how to combine the id and class so it is good.
