    Hi, I have been searching around but just cant seem to land on a post that solves my problem.

    In the Outreach pro theme there is site-title area in the left of the header and a header-right widget area on the right. My desire is the add a second widget area in between them.
    I have used the below code successfully to add register the new widget area and in the "add_action" line if I specify something like "genesis_before_content" as the first argument, then all works well, except that that is not the location I want the new widget in.

    Any thought on how I can get this new widget area in the header of my site?

    Thanks in advance!

    /** Register widget areas */
    genesis_register_sidebar( array(
    'id' => 'icon_header_middle',
    'name' => __( 'Header Icon', 'mp' ),
    'description' => __( 'This is the area for an Icon in Header', 'mp' ),
    ) );
    add_action( 'after_site-title', 'outreach_headericon_genesis' );
    function outreach_headericon_genesis() {
    genesis_widget_area( 'icon_header_middle', array(
    'before' => '<div id="cta"><div class="wrap">',
    'after' => '</div></div>',
    ) );
    }

    Try one of these header hooks and use CSS for positioning
