    Hi everyone,

This is probably a basic question, but I just can't figure out how to do this the right way. Should you create a widget area? And how? Or do I need to do something else with a genesis simple hook? And how?

    anyway, this is my problem:

I've set my homepage to display my latest posts.

But above those latest posts, I want to display some content. Say some text with a button or a small form.

Best case scenario, I'd want to add a genesis block there.

I at least want to be able to add a mailchimp register for newsletter item there.

What's the best way? And how to go about?

If you can, please add as much detail as possible, since I'm not that at home yet in WP.
