    I would like to modify the comment section on my homepage so that it includes the comment bubble that is shown on the archives and posts.

    I'm using the genesis featured post widget in the News Theme; I'm guessing that there is a short code I need to change, but I'm unable to find it.

    Or if not a short code, can I add CSS to that widget?  How would I do that?

    Hi Chris!

    It was much simpler than I thought.  I added the following CSS via JetPack's Simple CSS.  The only thing I changed was adding an absolute path for the image.

    .post-comments {

    background: url(images/icon-comments.png) no-repeat left top;
    margin: 0 0 0 10px;
    padding: 2px 0 2px 22px;
    }
