    Hi

I am creating another page template for atmosphere pro and would like to add the front page image with widget 1 text which overlays the text, how would i go about recreating this, i have taken a look at the code but unsure how to implement this as it apply functions and styles connected to genesis backend layout.

    Regards

    Chris

    Hi there

first you would need to create a custom page template, add the code you need from the front-page.php, rename the widgets (and possible the actions too)

then in functions.php, create new widgets with the new names

then create a page in WordPress, and set the new page template to that page.

then you can just add widgets to your new widget areas, and you have your new custom page template

it's quite a task, and a whole tutorial on it's own, but that should give you a bit of an idea.

    Thank you Jaime

I seem to have added the widgets with sections by doing as you said - the most important thing i wanted to do was get a header image to display exactly as on front-page, but to get that header image you need to add it to the customiser section on the admin side of genesis.

And at the moment there is one for the for the front - page but how do i add another one for my new page?

    Regards

    Chris

    Hi Chris

Yeh the Atmosphere Pro theme only has the big header image on the front page template.

to create this same effect for the inner pages would require a lot of custom development, way beyond the scope of this forum.

However as soon as i get a chance i'll be happy to write up a tutorial on how to do it, that way others can learn as well.

    Hi Jaimie

I managed to do this by recreating the widgets renaming the text of the image dir and placing the same name image in the image folder with the correct directory.
