    I want to add a site description directly under the site title on the metro theme.  Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thank you

    Simply remove this PHP code from your child themes functions.php file and add your description to the general settings.

    // Remove the site description
    remove_action( 'genesis_site_description', 'genesis_seo_site_description' );

    Thanks worked great

    One problem; Now it seems like the site description does not have enough padding underneath. It pushes into the nav menu

    Please link to your site Victor so i can inspect your title area using Firebug and work out the padding which needs to be added to that element.

    Install the Firebug addon for Firefox to inspect the elements:

    Example:

    Line 443 of your child themes style.css file, you can remove the padding:

    Change

    #wrap {
        clear: both;
        padding: 2.25rem;
    }

    to

    #wrap {
        clear: both;
        padding: none;
    }
