Hello, new to Genesis but longtime WP dev.

I have a question regarding use of ACF on the front page widget area. Previously with underscores I would set the location as "page is equal to home" and my ACF options would display on my home page template.

But now i'm using Genesis Foodie pro and the front page is comprised of 5 different widget areas. I cannot select a page to publish ACF to, so I was wondering if its possible to publish ACF to a widget area?

I have managed to set top homepage widget area using the navigation widget from genesis and using a plugin to show the image, but I was wanting to use ACF instead of choosing from categories to customize further. If anyone could point me in the right direction of using ACF in a widget area, that would be excellent.

    Cheers

    Thanks very much.

Not possible to target a widget area but you can target a custom field key and page template.

    Hey Brad,

If my front page is comprised of widget areas, is it possible to add the fields to the front page (default template) or only use a href to the page template?

You can replace any widget area with a custom field.
