Hello SP Community! Wonedering if anyone has (or knows how to) add a subtitle / description paragraph in the Academy Pro BLOG and CATEGORY pages?

For example, this category page on my site:
    https://damngoodwriters.com/category/templates/

    Displays the title:
    Free Templates

Is there a way I can make the theme display some description text beneath that H1 title?

e.g. I'd like to it to display

    Title: Free Templates
Subtitle/Description: Download our free copywriting templates and use them to grow your business.

I can add this in the page editor (as a Gutenberg paragraph block). But Academy Pro theme doesn't display that text on the page.

Thanks for any tips/pointers on how to make this happen.

If you go the the category, you will see where you can add Title and Description for each category. You do it on each category. But your title of this posts says sub title H3 - but you should still be able to do that in the description of the category.

    Thanks Anita!

I can see the 'description' field you've mentioned on the 'edit category' page. I've tried to add in a description here, but Academy Pro theme doesn't seem to be configured to display this text on the category page itself.

I'm guessing some custom code is required. Just no idea how or where to insert it.

No, it should display if you put content in it. Can you share a link to the category so I can take a look at the page?

Oh, I see! I added it to the description field in the 'category archive settings' section and it worked:

    Thank you so much! 🙏😃

The Blog Page doesn't seem to have an archive settings field to add a description under the header. Any chance you might know a workaround?

What happens if you type content on the blog page itself? Have you tried that?

Yep! That would be ideal, if it worked 🙂 Unfortunately, any text I add (H2/H3/normal text) into the page editor doesn't work appear when the page is published.

I made an inquiry in Genesis Slack about this and was pointed to this page - https://robincornett.com/posts-page/. You can implement that which will give you the ability to add content to the top of the blog page.
