Is it me or do other people dread setting up the 3rd party themes StudioPress sells on their website? I find that they look great as demos but lack proper documentation for setting up the site.
For instance, Corporate Pro is one big guessing game trying to set up the front page. The slider, for instance, they say "Adding a Slider is simple. All you need to do is create a Slider through the WordPress dashboard" they don't tell you what plugin to download or where to look for this mysterious slider feature in WP. The Widgets are one confusing mess.
I really wished StudioPress would only approve third-party themes to sell that have setup documentation that is as good as theirs at a bare minimum. At least test the documentation with some field testers to make sure it is clear and all the dots connect so you are not pulling your hair out trying to fill in the gaps of what the theme developer should have included.

We're just a bunch of community volunteers, end users just like you.
Perhaps you should discuss this with Studio Press or the Corporate Pro theme developers directly. They are the only ones that will be able to help you in this regard.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?June 5, 2018 at 11:08 am #220583Andrea RennickMemberWhile I agree their docs are light, the screenshot on that page shows they are using their own "SEO Slider" plugin which they also wrote.
We have no control over their docs. Email that company and suggest they link to their slider plugin so customers can find it.
Also according to their docs, activating the theme shows a message with the list of suggested plugins to install. (this should also be in the docs, but there is a spot where they do mention what plugins are needed.)

June 6, 2018 at 8:48 pm #220619seothemesMemberHi Joanna,
Sorry to hear that.
We have just added a list of recommended plugins to the documentation - https://docs.seothemes.com/article/90-corporate-pro-recommended-plugins. There is also an admin notice upon installing the theme which lists the recommended plugins to install.
Also, I'm not sure if you noticed the setup video on the theme installation article. This demonstrates how you can get the theme looking exactly like the demo in just a few clicks - https://docs.seothemes.com/article/71-corporate-pro-installing-your-theme
If you feel that there is anything else missing from the documentation please let me know and I'll be more than happy to add it.
Thanks,

Is there a recommended image size for the slider?
Thanks.
Thanks, Randy
