    I changed from 3 widget to a 2 widget footer in Lifestyle Pro here.

    The 2nd widget needs to take up 2/3 of the footer area.

    The issue I am having is that the footers are not lining up and I can't figure out why the widget 1 is pushing the second widget down.

    As far as I can see that the widget 3 is still appearing in the css code but does not contain content. I would like you let me know how you added the widget areas. Please list the steps.

    If you want flexible footer widget areas, then you can follow this "Controlling Footer Widget Columns from Theme Settings Page in Genesis"
