Hi guys,
My core web vitals are failing and my SEO dude said I should get this fixed. One main problem is the dashicons used for the hamburger menu (why Genesis still uses dashicons is beyond me) I have read a few articles but it's just outside my knowledge to be able to execute it.
I can't spend much on this but if someone would be willing to give it a go and try and get it over the line it would be a huge help and I would be willing to pay a fee.Or if someone could recommend where to get this from.
Here are the suggested articles:
some have discussed the same type of thing in their forums. https://studiopress.community/topic/possible-to-replace-mobile-menu-icons-with-svgs/Or you could do something like this. https://popwp.com/replace-dashicons-with-ionicons-in-genesis-sample/
Thanks
ByronHi guys,
asked Brian from Perfmatters (A plugin that helps with site speed): What is something I could do next to speed up my site?
He recommended:
"One thing would be to perhaps reach out to Genesis and see if they have any way to use SVG icons instead of dashicons for the mobile menu. Or if they plan on making that switch. "
Can you guide me on how to do this please.
Many thanks
ByronHi there! Can someone please tell me how can I make the logo on my new website look crisp? I am using the Essence Pro theme and when I upload the logo in high resolution, it looks really huge on the website, but when I upload it in a smaller size, it looks really blurry and low quality. How can I make it look sharp? Also, I can't seem to be able to upload a .svg file which would be a lot lighter compared to the .png file and look sharp in any size. Any advice?
Thank you very much in advance.
Sincerely,
AleksandrHi,
I'm trying to upload an SVG logo to the Header Image in Customizer, but receive the error of "There has been an error cropping your image". I'm using the Altitude Pro theme with a fresh install and no customization.
There is not a "Skip Cropping" button and there is nothing in the Functions.php to change the 'customer-header' to add 'flex-width' => true or change the height and width.
I've already installed the SafeSVG plugin. I'm using WP Engine and they verified the PHP GD Library is installed and they cannot figure out what is wrong. Been through 4 senior support techs and have wiped out the dev site twice to start from scratch.
I've tried deactivating all plugins and it gives the same error. Tried on two computers with two different browsers each as recommended by support. Still no luck...
Really shouldn't be that hard to use SVGs nowadays, right? Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Dan
