Still looking for an answer to this question!:
On the hompepage of my site I’m trying to have 3 columns in the main content area all equal sizes — I’ve managed to adjust the right column so that it’s 28%, using:
#sidebar-alt.sidebar.widget-area {
width: 28%; }NOW the issue, however, is the width of the left- and middle columns — they are too wide, so this sidebar is now being pushed down. I can’t find the css code for these … Any idea? I think it’s some combination of:
.content-sidebaralt
#content-sidebar-wrap
.sidebaralt-content
#content-sidebar-wrap {Website address: http://wp-hbay.capiratech.com

Have found some posts here about adjusting "header-right" and "title area" widths that seem a bit overkill. I am calling in a custom header image in the CSS (not using the customization settings inside the Back Country dashboard area). I just need that entire 960px wide x 350px high image to be clickable to a URL (the homepage). Help!
[Resolved]Topic: Genesis Responsive Slider Continued Reading Text Cut Off
Hello!
My web site is http://www.YoureSomethingElse.com. I’m using Balance Theme & Genesis.
I installed the Genesis Responsive Slider. I configured all of the settings. I set the slider to display posts.
One of the problems is that on the 2nd slider image, half of the words “Continue Reading” appear in red font — even though I defined “more” as the word to use for continued reading. Why does "continue reading" appear versus "more," and why does only the top half of that text appear?
Besides Googling and searching forums…. Solutions I’ve tried (via the Slider Settings page):
1. Adjusted the slider excerpt width
2. Increased and decreased the number of characters (in the field labeled “limit the content to X characters”)
3. Adjusted slider excerpt location
4. Checked, unchecked, rechecked the boxes for Display Title in Slider and Display Content in SliderFYI — Also, the text runs off the image. More specifically, only the bottom of the heading appears in the text box. Sometimes, depending on the post, the top of the text box itself is cut off. In addition, on the 1st slider image, the slider displays part of a ghost box on the left of the image. I’ll post separate questions on these issue, as forum rules suggest.
I’m new to all of this, and I appreciate any help.
Thank you!

[Resolved]Topic: Place AdSense Code after Specific Paragraph [Not Working]
There's a great post here by Brad Dalton about how to place some code in your functions.php file to get Adsense code to appear after a specific paragraph. I've managed to get the Adsense area to display correctly, but the ad itself isn't displaying; it just shows blank. In the area for
$new_content .= 'Paste Adsense Code Here';
was I not supposed to include the <script type="text/javascript"> info? Here's what I actually have in my functions.php file:
add_filter( 'the_content', 'wpsites_adsense_middle_content' ); function wpsites_adsense_middle_content( $content ) { if( !is_single() ) return $content; $paragraphAfter = 1; //Enter paragraph number $content = explode ( "</p>", $content ); $new_content = ''; for ( $i = 0; $i < count ( $content ); $i ++ ) { if ( $i == $paragraphAfter ) { $new_content .= '<div style="width: 310px; height: 260px; padding: 5px 5px 5px 0; margin-right: 0; float:right">'; $new_content .= '<script type="text/javascript"><!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXX"; /* AD-NAME */ google_ad_slot = "XXXXXXXXXXX"; google_ad_width = 300; google_ad_height = 250; //--> </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js"> </script>'; $new_content .= '</div>'; } $new_content .= $content[$i] . "</p>"; } return $new_content; }
I adjusted the width of the div to accommodate a 300x250 ad plus padding. I can adjust that setting accordingly and see the results on the spacing of the text, but again, the ad itself is just showing blank.
Topic: Change content area Width
I'm trying to decrease my sidebar width and increase my content area.
I've tried adjusting the
.sidebar
and.entry-conten
t with no luck. Any ideas? My slider just keeps running off the page to the right and I would like it on the left side, butting up to the slider.Thanks.
[Resolved]Topic: Minimum Pro: Background Image Visible on Sides?
I'm trying to make the background image in Minimum Pro appear on the sides of the homepage rather than just the top, just like how they do it here using a non-Genesis environment. But, none of the CSS adjustments I've tried have worked. I've tried the .wrap, the .site-inner, and all manner of things, but I can't get the main container area to be white yet the background image showing on the sides. Instead, the image always just shows on the top, while the area shows full width.
For ease of illustration, I've changed the white to be gray on my sample site (dev.dailygame.net). Any ideas would be much appreciated. This is one of many CSS updates I need/want to make, but it's an important one to me. Thanks.
For what it's worth, the sliding background function isn't working either, but I'll be OK with that once the image starts showing on the sides....
