Hi Allie
I have a couple of tools I use.
I use Firefox as my browser and use Firebug as an add on. Here are the steps:
1. Hover over the item you want to change.
2. Right click the mouse and select Inspect with Firebug
3. Look in the code for the text you want to change and copy it - it's at the bottom of the page.
4. Open a text editor - like Notepad or something like that.
5. Change the code - you'll see the current colour code so delete that and add your new colour code as a hex number. I usually also delete all the other code that I'm not changing - keeps the css editor clean. Copy this new code so you can paste it in the css editor. Then go to the css editor of your site and paste that code in and save.
I use SiteOrigin CSS which often lets me cut out the need to get the code from Firebug - sometimes though I do use it if I'm having trouble finding the element in the css editor.
Hope that helps.
Susan
Susan HandesMemberThe slider on this site is also broken
http://positiveperceptions.com.au/
You can sort of see it in the black bar underneath the menu.
The settings have been changed to make the slider bigger but it was working, before the update, on those settings. I've tried changing the settings to the default, still nothing. I've been experimenting on a site where I play - I've uninstalled Outreach and Genesis, then reinstalled them both - Genesis first, then Outreach. Even not updated to the latest version of Genesis and nothing works - at least with the slider...
Any ideas?
