    Thank You

    (I tried so many of the other suggestions, there are a lot!)

    Thank you again

    Many, Many thanks for your post. The whole issue was caused by my settings in WordPress Reading. Do it the correct way and you will have no issues with Permalinks

    I have a solution and thought it would help anyone with the same type of issue
    in functions

    //* Add custom body class to the head
    add_filter( 'body_class', 'sp_body_class' );
    function sp_body_class( $classes ) {
    	if ( is_shopp_collection() )
    		$classes[] = 'my_collection_class';
    		return $classes;
    }

    And this to style.css

    .my_collection_class .sidebar {width: 15% !important;}

    .my_collection_class .content {width: 85% !important;}

    Brad, Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, that did not make a difference. I tried with

    //* Add custom body class to the head
    add_filter( 'body_class', 'sp_body_class' );
    function sp_body_class( $classes ) {

    	if ( is_page( 'shopp-category-php' ) )
    		$classes[] = 'page-shopp-category-php';
    		return $classes;

    }

    I also tried with page-shopp-category-page, again with no luck

    Thanks for getting back to me, unfortunately I am working at a template level rather than within word press, so that does not quite work as it should for me however I have found a solution
