Hi Mary,
Try the following that someone recommended to me, it seems to work for me:
/* Responsive Home Page Images
--------------------------------------------- */.home-section-1, .home-section-3, .home-section-5 {
background-attachment: scroll;
background-size: cover;February 9, 2015 at 7:40 pm in reply to: Urgent Help Req/Quote if necessary. Having Header issues for Parallax Pro site. #140276SamLindnerMemberTypically I hired someone to do the job for me and they were not able to execute it as they said their internet "went down" right when they were half way through and now offline! I wasn't able to get the updated changes they made before they went offline as I was on the phone. Now when I go in there are a bunch of changes made to the stylesheet despite instructing to use the custom CSS instead to document the changes!
So I am left with a header and nav that no longer are responsive to a changing browser size - they just disappear.
Plus, the mobile responsive nav is non existent now too. Also wanted a simple mobile header with just a 100x100 (responsive) logo on black strip alongside the nav icon.
The main nav I just simply want to sit flush on the header so that there is no big black space.
Not sure if anyone else can see quickly what is possibly changing this? I had the nav in the header, now the person positioned it in the site-title-area instead I think!
I am reluctant to pay again for a task that an experienced developer should be able to spot in a few minutes looking at it, so giving it a try again here.
Thanks

I implemented that but still having a few formatting issues.
- Seem to have to Primary Navs for some reason? Know how to get rid of the second one?
- Also trying to get the header image to appear right across the page on all browser sizes, for some reason it has formatted to the left now. Thanks

I have now disabled Total Cache while I try to sort out this mess. Yes I can see the Nav again now (however responsive nav on mobile has completely gone)
However there are still formatting issues that I can not seem to resolve.
- I want the nav to move up closer to the header and in fact position itself in the bottom black part of the header so that the header and nav look as one.
- want to move the widget area 1 down further so that it appears in line better and not under the nav/in the space above the nav.
- so just want to squish that top part up a little more as it is way out of whack at the moment.
- Need to ensure that the nav and header are showing correctly on all other pages - as nav is not showing at the moment
- Ensure mobile nav returns and formatting looks correct. So as you can see a bit to do yet, hence why I am looking to pay a developer just to finish this all off.....as I am completely lost now, I can not get anything to align/show as I want it....maybe it's just too late in the night (wee hours of the morning here) and I am just to frustrated to see the problem!
So if anyone is reading this post......I will PAY to get it done by someone, someone just needs to put up their hand!
Thanks

February 9, 2015 at 9:19 am in reply to: Urgent Help Req/Quote if necessary. Having Header issues for Parallax Pro site. #140187SamLindnerMemberThanks David, however it doesn't seem to have updated anything. I can't seem to see the nav still and it hasn't pushed down widget 1 content. Just to be clear, I am not seeing the nav on the fully extended normal size browser window.
I've added it to the custom CSS but it's still not working? Any idea?
Thanks
SamSamLindnerMemberHi Carlo,
Firstly, I appreciate your (and other members here) time greatly. Yes there are a few questions there, however I thought that they might provide context for the overall picture, that being the mobile responsive experience is troubling me to fix.
Out of the list probably No. 1 or 3 would kick me off in the right direction I think.
I am only doing this as a favour for a friend, as I have built a couple of sites, so she has come to me for some help on it, so am trying to fix what I can. However yes if it becomes more complex I will be getting someone else to help (pay for I mean).
I am generally ok, just get stuck sometimes locating the actual issue in the CSS.
Thanks for your help.
If I can't post questions for help on the forum of the theme installed where else can I go then? I don't expect 20 responses, I post them because I know there are a lot of experienced developers on here who have probably seen the same questions before and are able to quickly answer one or two of them.
I have already received responses on other questions, so again, I am super thankful for the answers you can get on this forum.
SamLindnerMemberThanks for that, but nope, still doesn't seem to want to align on the one horizontal feature section.
SamLindnerMemberThanks for that, I had seen that and tried that already. However if you take a look at the moment, the site does not display them correctly in a single line across, any idea what needs to change? I have set them all to Alignment of "none" in the widget settings, however also tried using Left, Centre, Right etc too.
SamLindnerMemberThanks Lauren, I located a conflict of the navs in the Themes Function php and the Front Page php, seemed to fix it, however it still created an issue on the pages where the nav/header/content margins or paddings are out and not neat like the home page. Don't suppose you can see anything? I checked with Firebug and I can't seem to isolate the one that is causing it 🙁
Thanks
SamLindnerMemberThanks. Sounds as though it's a rebuild from scratch. I have tried to go over the custom CSS changes I made but nothing seems to be working. Studiopress support could not provide a deep enough solution either though, just topline suggestions, but the problem is trying to find the place to start! I could spend 10 hours locating the exact issue, it would take me just as long to redo everything over and checking on the mobile step by step.
As doesn't sound as though any one has a definitive answer from looking at the CSS/Firebug.
Damn
SamLindnerMemberHi Lauren,
Thanks for the quick reply. I am looking on 2 different iphones and the site is all over the place, not attractive at all. Are you really seeing it responsive well on a mobile?
Not sure I really understand how to go about your suggested troubleshoot method sorry?
Sam
SamLindnerMemberThanks Lauren. You give me so much pleasure but so much pain! You see, I've been trying to work it out for ages (pain)....and then you go and give me 5 sec solution to implement (pleasure)! Worked a treat. Thanks for that. One for the wordpress memory bank 🙂
SamLindnerMemberJust an update on the above, I have updated to the Parallax Home Widget Images now and my Primary Navigation has disappeared now as a result, I can't for the life of me get it to show again?? Is it padding or something else??
Also, I still haven't managed to work out number 1, 2 or 3 either!
Any help would be great.
Thanks
SamJanuary 25, 2015 at 8:49 am in reply to: Customising the Header Image for Parallax Pro theme #138586SamLindnerMemberHi Jeremy, I have removed the custom header from the right and managed to get the right size header in there now. However I started another discussion - http://www.studiopress.community/topic/parallax-nav-positioning/#post-138584
So if you can help on them that would be great.
Thanks
SamJanuary 25, 2015 at 12:40 am in reply to: Customising the Header Image for Parallax Pro theme #138567SamLindnerMemberHi Jeremy,
My preference is for the header image to behind the custom menu too, however I would probably settle to be able to move the custom menu out of the header and place above the main nav menu I have, however is that possible?
Thanks for your help.

January 24, 2015 at 5:58 am in reply to: Customising the Header Image for Parallax Pro theme #138500SamLindnerMemberI am obviously still not doing something right. As for the life of me despite trying to follow those steps nothing is showing as a full width header image. Is it the Parallax theme?
Also I want to decrease the massive gap between the navigation and the header, but again, can't seem to do that either!
Thanks
